Xin Yang Mao Jian tea is produced in Xinyang City of Henan Province, where the top-quality tea plantations of “five Yuns (clouds) and two Tangs (ponds)” are located. The “five Yuan” refer to the five mountains: Mt. Cheyun, Tianyun, Yunwu, Jiyun and Liangyun, while the “two Tangs” are Heilongtang and Bailongtang.
The tea is compact, fine and round , fuzzy, jade green in color, clear liquid, strong and lasting fragrance, refreshingly mellow and sweet taste and aftertaste and tender and green brewed leaves.
The Xinyang Tea Culture Festival (April 2006) auctioned the Liang Tian Yu Ye tea of the green tea brand Xin Yang Mao Jian at a whopping price of RMB149,000 yuan for merely along of the tea.
Xin Yang Mao Jian Tea was awarded the gold prize in the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition.
